Terms Summary: By downloading, installing, or using NeoFilm, you agree to these Terms of Use. You retain 100% ownership and copyright of all photographs you create. Purchases and subscriptions are managed securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

These Terms of Use ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and NeoFilm / ZEROdev ("we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the NeoFilm mobile applications on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play), as well as related web services provided via https://neofilm.cam.

By downloading, accessing, or using NeoFilm, you confirm that you are at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction (or have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian) and possess the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use and uninstall the application.

2. License Grant & Restrictions

Subject to your ongoing compliance with these Terms, NeoFilm grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and execute the application on mobile devices owned or controlled by you, solely for your personal or professional photography purposes.

You agree that you will not, directly or indirectly:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code, color matrices, or optical algorithms of NeoFilm;
  • Modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works of the application software;
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, distribute, or commercially host the application binary;
  • Circumvent or attempt to bypass any technical copy protection, subscription verification, or entitlement safeguards implemented via RevenueCat, Apple StoreKit, or Google Play Billing.

3. User Photographs & Recipe Ownership

We strongly believe that your creative work belongs solely to you:

  • Photographic Ownership: You retain complete, unencumbered intellectual property rights, copyright, and moral rights in all photographs, video frames, RAW DNG files, and edited renders produced using NeoFilm.
  • Zero Rights Claimed: NeoFilm claims no ownership, license, title, or interest in any image you create. Because our image processing pipeline operates 100% locally on your smartphone, we never inspect, host, or reproduce your photographs.
  • Custom Recipes: Custom parameter configurations created by you in the Recipe Lab remain yours. When you generate and distribute a recipe QR card, you grant other photographers permission to load and use that parameter combination inside their compatible NeoFilm installations.

4. NeoFilm Pro Subscriptions & Purchases

NeoFilm provides core film profiles, manual exposure adjustments, and standard photo export free of charge. Users may optionally unlock advanced capabilities ("NeoFilm Pro") via in-app purchases:

A. Pro Features

NeoFilm Pro unlocks all 30+ handcrafted film profiles, uncompressed RAW DNG capture on supported hardware, manual focus with live color peaking, darkroom non-destructive reprocessing, unlimited custom recipe saving, and batch photo export.

B. Purchase Options

  • Annual Subscription: Auto-renewing annual subscription billed once per year.
  • Monthly Subscription: Auto-renewing monthly subscription billed month-to-month.
  • Lifetime Access: Non-consumable, one-time payment providing permanent access to all Pro features and future profile updates with no recurring fees.

C. Introductory Trial Eligibility

A seven-day introductory free trial may be made available to eligible annual subscribers. Storefront systems (Apple App Store or Google Play) automatically evaluate your introductory trial eligibility. Unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the conclusion of the trial period through your store account settings, the trial will automatically transition into a paid recurring annual subscription charged at the then-current storefront price.

D. Auto-Renewal & Billing

All subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is disabled at least 24 hours before the conclusion of the active billing cycle. Payment is charged directly to your Apple Account or Google Account upon confirmation of purchase. Prices are displayed in your local currency within the application prior to purchase. We reserve the right to revise subscription pricing; any price adjustments will be communicated by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective storefront policies.

E. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. When canceled, your Pro access will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period:

  • iOS Users: Manage and cancel subscriptions via iOS Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Refund requests are subject to Apple’s standard policies via reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Android Users: Manage and cancel subscriptions via Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions. Refund requests are governed by Google Play refund policies via Google Play Refund Support.

F. Restore Purchases

If you reinstall NeoFilm or upgrade to a new device on the same platform, you can restore your active subscription or lifetime purchase by tapping Restore Purchases in the Settings or paywall screen while signed in with the purchasing account.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The NeoFilm name, logo, graphic marks, custom Metal/OpenGL fragment kernels, user interface designs, sound effects, and application software are the proprietary intellectual property of ZEROdev. All rights not expressly granted to you under these Terms are reserved.

6. Hardware & Sensor Compatibility

Certain advanced features — including uncompressed RAW DNG capture, high-speed shutter controls, lens switching, and manual focus peaking — depend directly on physical camera sensor capabilities, lens driver support, and camera APIs provided by your mobile device manufacturer. We make no warranty that all manual controls or RAW formats will be operational on every camera sensor or lens of every device model.

7. Disclaimers ("AS IS")

NeoFilm is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the application will operate uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every mobile hardware configuration.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall NeoFilm, ZEROdev, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of data, loss of photographs, hardware malfunction, or loss of profits arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the application. In all events, our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you to NeoFilm during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you acquired NeoFilm through the Apple App Store, the following supplemental terms apply:

  • This Agreement is between you and NeoFilm only, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"). NeoFilm, not Apple, is solely responsible for the application and its content.
  • The license granted herein is limited to a non-transferable license to use the application on Apple-branded products running iOS that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  • Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the application.
  • In the event of any failure of NeoFilm to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction of the operator’s residence, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved primarily through good-faith informal negotiation by contacting simpelkode@gmail.com.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to amend or replace these Terms at our discretion. Any revisions will become effective immediately upon being published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of NeoFilm following the publication of revised Terms indicates your binding acceptance of the changes.
